Jordan C. Kleinsmith for Michigan’s 6th
Jordan C. Kleinsmith is a father, husband, entrepreneur, and resident of Washtenaw County who is concerned about the future of his country and well-being of both his family and fellow Michiganders.
Although not particularly fond of either major U.S. political party, Jordan is running as a Democrat for the purposes of ballot access; as a result, his first race will be in Michigan’s Democratic Primary in August 2026 against the Democratic incumbent, Representative Debbie Dingell.
Jordan has decided to run because he believes that, with very few exceptions, those serving in Congress today have failed their oaths of office: not only have they failed to fight the rising tide of fascism enabled by the Trump administration, in many cases they have actively refused to provide any meaningful opposition, generally placing their own financial interests – or, in some cases, directives from foreign governments – over the well-being of their constituents.
Unlike the Beltway insiders currently in office, Jordan would use all instruments available to a member of the U.S. Congress to thwart the rise of fascism while advocating for the rights, well-being, and prosperity of Michiganders.

Jordan would love nothing more than to gain the trust of the communities of Ann Arbor, Belleville, Canton, Chelsea, Dexter, Grosse Ile, Manchester, Milan, Plymouth, Riverview, Saline, Trenton, Willis, Woodhaven, Ypsilanti, and the surrounding areas and represent their interests in the U.S. Congress.
